Fireworks fizzle out at Terengganu assembly

KUALA TERENGGANU: Speculation on possible fireworks within the Terengganu state legislative assembly sitting today fizzled out at recess this morning.

All eyes were on former Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, who was widely tipped to create a stir at the sitting this morning following his public spat with current Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.

However, any potential for drama was deflated when Ahmad Said, left Wisma Darul Iman left the assembly during the break.

Ahmad only sat in for the first half of the session from 9.30am to 10.45am.

He was nowhere to be seen during the 35-minute break. He did not join other assemblymen at the dining lounge outside the hall.

Checks showed that he had left Wisma Darul Iman immediately after the first half of the assembly sitting.

However, Ajil assemblyman Ghazali Taib, who is expected to face disciplinary action following his questioning of the state administration under Ahmad Razif, continued with the session.
