PETALING JAYA: Mobile virtual network operator, XOX Bhd (XOX) will reward Badminton mixed doubles pair Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying with RM100,000 should they bring home Malaysia’s first Olympic gold medal.
XOX Bhd Group Managing Director, Datuk Eddie Chai said the pair have made the nation proud by advancing to the finals.
He said the company wants to invite all Malaysians to provide spiritual and emotional support for the duo.
“On behalf of XOX Bhd, we will be giving the pair RM100,000 should they strike gold for the nation.
“They will be making history, and we will be there for them”, Chai said in a statement today.
Chan and Goh are assured of a Rio Olympics medal after advancing to the finals.
The Malaysian mixed pair beat Poland's Robert Mateusiak-Zieba Nadiezda 21-17, 21-10 in the quarter-finals.
They then beat China’s China’s Chen Xu-Ma Jin in the semi-finals to secure a place in the finals.
