One of two men in nasi kandar ruckus nabbed - Police

GEORGE TOWN: The police have detained one of two men linked to a ruckus at a popular nasi kandar restaurant in Jelutong near here last Thursday night, resulting in RM7,000 in losses.

The 48-year-old suspect who has three criminal records was picked up at the Penang Hospital at 10.35 last night and remanded for four days to facilitate investigations.

Timur Laut police chief, ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said today, the suspect was drunk at the time of the incident in the restaurant when the duo had requested for money from the cashier and were not entertained.

A video footage of the duo showed the suspect throwing the cash register on the floor and smashing the food glass display showcase.
