Two men who broke into police officer's home arrested

SUBANG JAYA: Two men were arrested for alleged armed robbery at a police officer's house in SS15/7 here yesterday.

Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said it received a report from a 35-year-old police officer in connection with the incident at 12.14 pm yesterday.

"The victim's house was broken into by two men, who were armed with pipe wrenches. The total losses were estimated at RM15,000," Harian Metro reported

Wan Azlan said at the time of the incident, there was one woman occupant in the house.

The two suspects in their 50s were identified based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage. Both were arrested in Kampung Baru, Rawang, at 6.30pm on the same day.

The police found the stolen items in the suspects' possession.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspects had 18 and seven criminal and drug records, respectively.

Wan Azlan said a request for remand against the duo was made today, and the case will be investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang-robbery and armed robbery with attempt to cause grievous hurt.

The police are tracking another male suspect, believed to be involved in the case.
