KUALA LUMPUR: A construction workers' quarters next to a newly-built condo, located along Jalan PJU 1A/3 at Ara Damansara, was razed today.
A Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said firemen were alerted to the incident at 4.10pm.
Firemen from the Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, and Damansara stations were deployed to the scene.
In a video recorded by a member of the public, the construction workers were seen saving their belongings as raging fires engulfed part of the quarters.
Firemen have yet to ascertain the cause of the incident.
Firemen put out the blaze at 4.32pm.
A Bangladeshi worker was reportedly injured in the incident and was rushed to the Shah Alam Hospital. His condition is reported to be stable.
