GEORGE TOWN: Thirteen guest relation officers (GRO) of Chinese nationality were detained in a raid at an entertainment centre in Midland Park, Jalan Burma here last night.
Timur Laut district police chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the raid was conducted at 11.30pm following a tip off and a week-long surveillance.
He said all the thirteen women, aged between 19 and 34, were detained for not having valid travel document or for abusing their social visit pass.
Also detained was a 33-year-old care taker of the entertainment premises, he added.--BERNAMA
