First batch of Malaysian haj pilgrims arrive home safely [VIDEO]

SEPANG: The first batch of Malaysian haj pilgrims, numbering 442, arrived safely home today.

The pilgrims’ Saudi Airlines flight SV5644 touched down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 11.20am.

The contingent was met on arrival by Tabung Haji (TH) chief operating officer Datuk Adi Azuan Abdul Ghani and several TH management officers.

The group comprised 196 male and 246 female pilgrims.

They had departed Raja Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah, on Saturday at 9pm (local time).

In total, 22,320 Malaysian pilgrims performed the haj at the Holy Land this year.
