KUALA LUMPUR: A bomb hoax led to the temporary evacuation of the Bursa Malaysia building at Bukit Kewangan, this afternoon.
Bursa Malaysia in a statement said the building management were notified of a bomb threat just after 12pm.
It said the building management immediately notified the authorities.
"However, as a precaution, all tenants and staff have been evacuated and respective Business Continuity Plans (BCP) have been activated," it said.
It is learnt that a Bursa staff received a call from an unidentified man who warned him of a bomb.
Currently, the bomb disposal unit is sweeping the building.
Trading resumed as per normal with the pre-opening at 2pm and trading for the afternoon session beginning at 2.30pm.
