KUALA LUMPUR: Rock singer Awie has tied the knot again today.
Also known as Ahmad Azhar Othman, the 48-year-old married his fiancee Sharifah Ladyana Syed Shamsuddin, 29, at a secret location.
This is Awie’s third marriage and the private affair was attended by only their family. Due to security reasons, the couple decided not to disclose the venue.
However, Awie and Sharifah, who works for an airline company, later held a wedding reception at the same venue. It was attended by some 250 guests.
The couple were engaged on June 3 at Hotel Vistana in Bukit Jambul, Penang.
The lead singer of rock group Wings and the star of films as Sembilu, Sembilu 2, Cuci and Dollah Superstar, first married singer Arni Nazira Anuar in 1998. They have two children – Puteri Aleefa Antasha, 14, and Puteri Aleeya Antasha, 16. They were divorced in 2006.
In 2006, he married Rozana Misbun and they have three children – Puteri Qasseh Antasha, 6, Putra Ahmad Rezzki, 8, and Putra Ahmad Merrah, 9. Awie and Rozana divorced last March.
