Water supply slowly improving in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang

KUALA LUMPUR: Water supplies in the districts of Petaling, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Sepang are improving today.

Kumpulan Air Selangor group corporate communications head Amin Lin Abdullah said water supply in most ponds in Zone 2 had achieved optimum levels while some areas in Zone 1 would improve gradually.

“Kuala Langat recorded a 100 per cent recovery, Sepang (93 per cent), Hulu Langat (82 per cent) and Petaling (66 per cent),” he said in a statement.

He said relief water supply through water tankers would continue to be delivered to the affected areas.

The water disruption occurred following the closure of Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant due to raw water pollution from Sept 22 to 24.

He said the status update on water restoration was available at ‘mySYABAS’ and www.syabas.com.my.-- BERNAMA
