PUTRAJAYA: Tan Sri Mohamed Azman Yahya has been appointed as the new Sepang International Circuit Sdn Bhd (SIC) non-executive chairman.
The Finance Ministry, in a statement today, said Azman will assume the post for a three-year term.
The ministry also confirmed that Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir has resigned from his post as SIC chairman and director effective Oct 10.
NST Online had earlier this week reported that Mokhzani, 53, confirmed that he had been asked to vacate the post which he had held since 2003.
Mokhzani's 13-year tenure at the helm of the circuit saw it reach its most successful phase since its inception in 1998.
