(Super League) Terengganu, Police relegated, JDT end campaign undefeated

KUALA LUMPUR: TERENGGANU and Police were relegated on the final day of the Super League today while champions Darul Ta’zim became the first club to end the competition undefeated since 1979.

Faizat Ghazali netted in the 89th minute for Penang in the 1-0 win over Terengganu at City Stadium as they avoided the drop at the expense of the east coast side who finished bottom of the standings.

Police, who needed to beat Sarawak, lost 2-1 to their rivals in Kuching.

Sarawak netted through Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin (89th) and Gilmar Filho (45th) while Police replied through Guilherme de Paula (26th).

In Shah Alam, Darul Ta’zim defeated Selangor through goals from Pereyra Diaz (64th) and Amri Yahyah (77th).

Ahmad Hazwan Bakri replied for Selangor in the 71st minute.

Kelantan ended the season at fourth following a 2-2 draw with Perak in Kota Baru.

Blazhe Ilijoksi netted in the 38th and 90th minutes for Kelantan while Perak replied through Shahrul Saad (53rd) and Fazrul Hazli Kadri (66th).

In Kuala Terengganu, Patrick Cruz’s late goal earned T-Team a 1-1 draw with Pahang.

Pahang took the lead in the 30th minute through Faysal Shayesteh before Cruz levelled in the 82nd minute.

In the Premier League, Malacca were held 1-1 by relegated Sime Darby at the Hang Jebat Stadium.

Mateo Roskam scored for Sime Darby with a solo effort in the 79th minute but Saiful Mustafa levelled with a free kick in the final minute.
