GOODYEAR Malaysia Bhd has launched its latest high performance tyre, the Goodyear Wrangler TripleMax, catering for the growing sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment.
The Wrangler TripleMax delivers three key features namely superior braking performance, wet performance and road hazard resistance.
It offers a safer and fun driving experience, the company claimed.
Goodyear developed the Wrangler TripleMax with an improved version of its Hydrogrip Technology, with large blocks and a high number of biting edges that help to increase contact to the road surface. This delivers better braking as well as more grip on wet and dry roads.
The Wrangler TripleMax has a two-ply construction wall that offers more material in the sidewall area for greater resistance to penetration, while the tyre carcass is more tough with improved resistance against impacts with bumps and potholes.
It is also designed with a rim flange protector feature, which provides more material on the sidewall to protect the rim and tyre against road hazards.
It is available in 12 sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches, and priced from RM443.72 to RM675.22, depending on the size. The price is inclusive of six per cent goods and services tax.
Goodyear Malaysia said there was a possibility that larger sizes would be introduced later on when demand grew. This is likely to happen, as the mid-size SUV segment has been steadily growing in popularity.
