JOHOR BARU: Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar expressed concern over the fire that occurred at Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) and wants a full report on the incident.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the ruler, who visited the hospital at 1.54pm and was briefed on the incident, also wants repair work on the damaged part of the hospital to be done quickly.
"The Sultan also directed that the royal ward at the hospital be opened to allow ICU patients to be placed there temporarily."
Khaled said the Johor Islamic Religious Council (MAIJ) contributed RM100,000 to all families of the victims of the blaze, and said the state government will help in their other needs too. -- Reporting by Ahmad Fairuz Othman, Chuah Bee Kim and Halim Said
