Parti Cinta Malaysia lodges report against Guan Eng for 'seditious remarks'

PRAI: Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) vice-president Datuk Huan Cheng Guan lodged a police report today urging the police to investigate Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for allegedly uttering seditious remarks.

Huan was reacting to a news portal’s report, which quoted Lim as saying that Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem and Sarawakian political parties should pull out of Barisan Nasional (BN) if the ruling coalition fails to meet a deadline to accede to the state's demand for autonomy.

"Lim's remarks are highly seditious in nature, (and) can be interpreted as asking Sarawak to leave Malaysia.

"As such, I urge police to probe the matter thoroughly and take the necessary action under the law," he told newsmen after lodging the report at the Prai police station here.

Lim's remarks were part of a speech read out by a Sarawak DAP leader, as Lim himself was unable to attend Sarawak DAP’s 18th state annual convention in Sibu yesterday due to a flight delay.
