KUALA LUMPUR: Three Asean Business Award winners have been given scholarships to attend a leadership programme in the US.

The three winners are Win Win Tint of City Mart Holding, Myanmar (Young Entrepreneur award winner), Anusia Ramasamy of VG Offshore Containers, Malaysia (Woman Entrepreneur award winner) and JD Abenaza of Zeenoh Incorporation, Philippines (Best Innovative SME award winner).

The scholarships are the result of a collaboration between the Asean Business Advisory Council and SRW&Co under a MOA signed in June this year.

In a statement released by the council and firm, the three award winners will attend the Asean Global Leadership Programme (AGLP) in 2017 at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business from 8 to 12 May, 2017.

A group of 30 senior executives from Southeast Asia countries comprising C-suites, top policy makers and regulators are expected to attend the programme. The theme of the programme is “Shaping our Future as Leaders of Innovation” which will cover the key topics on globalisation, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership.

In the five-day programme, participants will be exposed to the latest thinking and cutting edge methodologies and tools in design thinking to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in their organisations.

The programme will also include visits to companies like Google and Autodesk in the Silicon Valley.
