Tengku Amir Shah launches RM120 million IRDKL Mall

SHAH ALAM: Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah launched a new family entertainment complex, IRDKL Mall in Section 16, here earlier today.

The 20-storey mall, which also houses offices and conference halls, is expected to become another attraction spot in Shah Alam with its cinema-entertainment concept.

IRDK Land Group chairman Tan Sri Dr MP Ramasamy said the mall’s construction which started two years ago costs about RM120 million to build.

The mall offers a variety of indoor entertainment facilities including a 9D Virtual Reality simulators, the first to be introduced in Malaysia, and a cinema multiplex with 4K projector video resolutions, Harkness and Dolby ATMOS screens, and DTSX multi-dimensional audio.

“IRDKL Mall is based on the concept of cinema-entertainment that suits visitors of all ages with the latest visual and audio technologies.

“Since its opening last month, we have managed to attract an average of 3,000 visitors a week. We aim to attract 20,000 visitors weekly,” Ramasamy said after the launching ceremony, which was also attended by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

Ramasamy said the mall also offers its visitors free Wifi connection.

He said IRDKLL Mall has also created over 5,000 potential job opportunities for the locals since it started operations.

During the launching ceremony, Tengku Amir was taken on a tour around the complex, which includes a royal-class cinema that sells comfort with its extra spacious twin cabin seats.

The mall is expected to reveal its family karaoke centre soon.
