Tengku Amir urges Red Giants to work hard for Asian challenge

KUALA LUMPUR: FA of Selangor president Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is proud that the Red Giants finished second in the Super League and qualified for the Asian Champions League 2 (ACL 2).

The Selangor Crown Prince said: "I'm happy and proud of all the players, coaches and Selangor FC management who have worked incredibly hard this season to solidify our standing in the Super League.

"But this success will not mark the end of Selangor's efforts. We still need to work hard, demanding character that is always improving and moving forward.

"This is a new beginning for Selangor. I'm aware of the future challenge which will present itself after we confirm a 2024-2025 slot on the Asian stage, " said said Tengku Amir in a social media page.

Selangor, under coach Tan Cheng Hoe, clinched second place in the league (behind Johor Darul Ta'zim) after a 1-0 win over Kedah on Saturday.
