KUALA LUMPUR: Umno leaders are free to voice their opinions, MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said.
He said this in response to a suggestion for someone from Umno to take over the Transport Ministry portfolio in the cabinet.
The call was made by Jasin division chief Ahmad Hamzah, who is also MP for the constituency, in the Umno General Assembly at the PWTC here.
Liow who is Transport Minister, said Umno can voice their opinions but it is the Barisan Nasional mechanism that will make decisions.
“I would like to remind all BN component parties to respect each other and be united to face the elections," he said at the VTAR Institute here today.
