King hosts luncheon for media practitioners

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajsah Haminah today attended a luncheon with about 200 media practitioners at Istana Negara.

It was also held in conjunction with the conclusion of the five-year reign of Tuanku Abdul Halim as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Dec 12.

The media practitioners were led by the secretary-general of the Communications and Multimedia Ministry, Datuk Seri Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad.

Among the other media practitioners who attended the luncheon were the general manager of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), Datuk Zulkefli Salleh, and Bernama editor-in-chief Datuk Zakaria Abdul Wahab.

Also present were director-general of broadcasting Datuk Abu Bakar Ab Rahim, Sinar Harian editorial executive advisor Datuk Abdul Jalil Ali and Utusan Malaysia assistant editor-in-chief Datuk Mohd Hassan Mohd Noor.

Their Majesties posed for photographs with the media practitioners.
