KUALA LUMPUR: Fire from a ceiling light component sparked a minor panic at the Serdang Hospital this morning.
The small fire, however, was quickly put out by staff before it became bigger.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said the department received a a distress call at 9.36am and firemen from the Serdang and Cyberjaya hospitals were deployed to the scene.
“The fire was put out by the staff even before the firemen arrived. There is no physical damage to the structure of the building,” he said.
Sani said no casualties were recorded in the incident.
