Tan Sri Francis Yeoh to receive Capri Legend Humanitarian Award

KUALA LUMPUR: The Capri Hollywood International Film Festival will be honouring Tan Sri Francis Yeoh with its Capri Legend Humanitarian Award, in recognition of his philanthropic endeavours through music.

The award will be presented to the YTL managing director this evening at the festival’s 21st edition in Italy, according to an announcement by its founder and producer, Pascal Vicedomini.

Two other awards were announced: The Capri Hollywood Award for Best Score of the Year for the La La Land soundtrack and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for celebrated singer Andrea Bocelli’s latest album, Cinema.

“Each of these three awards is very significant in their own way,” said Vicedomini, adding that, “Sir Francis Yeoh is a true supporter of the arts on a global basis.”

The festival opened on December 27 and will run till January 2, 2017.
