Two Bangladeshi workers hurt, crushed by falling scaffolding in Subang Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR: Two Bangladeshi workers were injured when they were crushed by falling scaffolding at Taylor's University in Subang Jaya this afternoon.

The scaffolding were said to have been struck down by strong winds at 6pm.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations officer Mohd Hissam Sidik said the victims were painting on the sixth floor of the building prior to the incident.

“A team from Subang Jaya team was deployed to the university after receiving an emergency call at 6.02pm.

“Upon arrival, they found one of the victims fell to the fourth floor and another on the roof of the second floor.

The first victim was sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre by ambulance for treatment.

“It took about an hour to pull out the second victim, who was trapped. He was later sent to the same hospital by the Emergency Response Medical Services. Both victims sustained bodily injuries.” he said.
