SANDAKAN: Police here arrested two men in possession of illicit drugs in separate incidents on Friday.
The first case involved a 34-year-old foreigner who was nabbed after attempting to flee police, leading them on a brief chase, before crashing his car at Jalan Persiaran Bakau Bakau off Mile 3, Jalan Utara, at 1.30am.
Two other men in the vehicle managed to escape.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azhar Hamin said police also seized a 12-inch dagger and six packets of crystalline substances from the suspect.
In the second case, a motorcyclist in his 40s was stopped at the Taman Mawar Apartment at about 2.10am.
Police found two packets of crystalline substances weighing 2 grammes in his waist pouch.
