KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today expressed his condolences over the passing of Tan Sri Just Faaland.
The prime minister, via his official Twitter page, paid tribute to Faaland as one of the economy experts who had helped formulate the New Economic Policy (NEP).
“Condolences to the family of Tan Sri Just Faaland.
“He was one of the economy experts that helped to formulate the NEP, and his passing is a loss to Malaysia,” he said.
In 2010, the Norwegian political economist was bestowed the Merdeka Award for his outstanding contribution to the people of Malaysia.
He died at 95.
