MAHB GM remanded over alleged RM80,000 skin, slimming treatments [VIDEO]

PUTRAJAYA: A Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) senior general manager was remanded for four days for allegedly abusing his position to secure RM80,000-worth of skin and slimming treatments for himself.

The 41-year-old suspect’s remand until Feb 26, to assist the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its investigation, was granted by magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman today

He is being probed under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009.

It was reported that the senior general manager of the human resources department was arrested at his home in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras, at about 11am yesterday.

The MACC said initial investigation revealed that the suspect had allegedly abused his position to approve the funds for the mentioned treatments at a private clinic and a hospital in the Klang Valley, between Dec 2015 and Aug 2016.

It is learnt that the suspect, who is believed to have previously suffered from obesity, allegedly misused the corporate credit card provided by MAHB to undergo surgery which was not stipulated as permitted in the contract.
