Skyworld gains ground with SkyAwani 2

SKYWORLD Development Group, a property company that prides itself as a city developer, is gaining ground with its mid-range SkyAwani 2 Residence project in Kuala Lumpur.

SkyAwani 2, a CSR (corporate social responsibility) project of SkyWorld, comprises two towers — 39-storey and 44-storey — with a total of 708 units.

The units were sold out within three hours in two separate launches, attracting mostly first time house buyers.

Tower A of SkyAwani 2, with 414 units, was launched last December. Tower B, with 294 units, opened for sale last month and was fully sold in two hours.

Seated on 1.12ha of leasehold land (99 years) in Sentul, off Jalan Ipoh, the total estimated gross development value (GDV) of SkyAwani 2 is more than RM250 million.

The units in Tower A and Tower B, with built-up of 800 sq ft each (three rooms and two bathrooms with a balcony), were sold at a fixed price of RM300,000, or RM375 per sq ft.

SkyWorld chief operating officer Lee Chee Seng said the sale of the units was strong evidence of the company’s ongoing endeavour in delivering a good mix of projects centred around its three key strengths — value creation, integrated sky living experience, and innovative concepts.

“Aligned with our CSR commitment and compliance with RUMAWIP (Dasar Rumah Wilayah Persekutuan), we delivered value for money (units) without compromising on quality and aesthetics,” he said.

The RUMAWIP scheme is an initiative in collaboration with property developers as part of their CSR programme to offers affordable residential properties.

Despite the sale price of RM300,000, Lee said SkyAwani 2 boasted all the SkyWorld strengths — good potential appreciation value given its strategic location, and impressive full condominium facilities.

The SkyAwani series has become must-own starter houses for first time buyers, given its extraordinary value and strong combination of good price, practical layout. The icing on the cake is its full-fledged condominium facilities.

SkyWorld’s other projects include the SkyArena mixed development in Setapak and SkyLuxe on the Park in Bukit Jalil.
