Najib praises visionary youths at TN50 dialogue

KOTA BARU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today praised the younger generation for having clear cut aspirations and visions as to what Malaysia need to be 30 years from now.

He said views from youngsters would help the government formulate a national strategy that would later be turned into a foundation for them to achieve their vision.

"The TN50 dialogue which will be held until the end of the year will enable the government to formulate this national strategy. It will require execution and monitoring so that we will know how far we have achieved," he said.

Najib was addressing students at the TN50 dialogue at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan campus in Pengkalan Chepa.

He said Malaysia need to have a clear direction to prepare itself in facing future challenges.

"I want to hear the heartbeat, voices and aspirations of youths, their concerns and also hopes so that the government can build a foundation to enable them to propel Malaysians 30 years from now.

"We do not want a weak generation but one that is determined to fight for their future and have clear vision for the future.

"Our commitment is to build a path for both physical and spiritual developments," he added.

The dialogue was moderated by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad.
