KUALA LUMPUR: Umno leaders have started arriving at Menara Dato Onn here this morning to attend the party's Supreme Council meeting.
The meeting is being held in the wake of the decision by the Pardons Board yesterday which has reduced the jail sentence and fine for former party president Datuk Seri Najib Razak involving the SRC International case.
Among those spotted included the two of the three Umno vice presidents - Datuk Seri Johari Ghani and Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, and the party information chief Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
The decision of the Pardons Board yesterday received mixed reactions with many Umno leaders and Najib's family members felt that the for the former prime minister should be granted a full pardon instead of having his sentences reduced.
