Guard your ride with GMR warranty package

BUYERS of reconditioned cars can now have peace of mind as Rainbow Enterprise — Japan’s largest exporter of recon cars — is offering extended warranty coverage for Malaysian buyers.

The warranty package is offered through its partnership with Malaysia’s No.1 extended warranty provider, Guard My Ride (GMR).

It also comes with added value of redeemable car maintenance and accessory vouchers upon purchases of vehicles.

On top of that, the extended warranty coverage is free for the first 500 units of vehicles registered from March 8.

“GMR’s programmes are fully comprehensive and transparent. Every part we cover is listed so customers don’t have to second-guess what is covered and what is not in the event of claim.

“But what we’re most proud of is the efficiency in which we carry out our work and claim processes, made even better by our excellent relationship with our panel workshops,” said GMR general manager Gerard Law after announcing the Rainbow Promotion Warranty Programme in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

He said vehicle purchase took one of the biggest portion from the income of Malaysians, second only to their home. Thus, it was crucial that each purchase did not bring added problems or issues with it.

According to Law, the GMR-Rainbow partnership aimed to provide added value to customers through warranty coverage for both engine and transmission.

“Our warranty programme eliminates the hassle and additional costs to repair the engine and transmission, which usually are the most expensive and complex components in a car,” he added.

Upon purchasing recon cars under the programme, customers are also entitled to a car-care package worth more than RM1,400.00 which includes car wash and wax treatment, headlamp wrap protection, window tint film, balancing and alignment as well as four litres of semi-synthetic oil for servicing.

Meanwhile, GMR chief executive officer Jonathan Tham said almost all recon car dealers in Klang Valley would be able to offer the warranty programme to buyers.

“Apart from the Klang Valley, our second and third largest markets are southern and northern regions, respectively,” he added.

GMR is also looking to expand its services to Sabah and Sarawak in the near future.

Also present at the launch was Pekema president Datuk Zainuddin Abd Rahman.
