Fresh from All England victory, Chong Wei sets sights on M'sia Open [VIDEO]

SEPANG: After winning his fourth All England title on Sunday, Lee Chong Wei is now after another milestone victory, and that is a 12th Malaysia Open title.

The 35-year-old shuttler arrived on Tuesday at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from London, where he was welcomed by his wife, Wong Mew Choo, and two sons Kingston and Terrance Lee.

"My fourth All England has definitely motivated me to come back stronger this year.

"I have not fully recovered from my injury, but with enough training and focus, I am sure I will get better soon.

"I will compete next at the India Open (Mar 28-Apr 2) and the Malaysia Open (Apr 4-9), but I think the tournament on home soil is more important to me.

"Hopefully, I will be able to win my 12th title," said Chong Wei, who fell ill a day before his final against China's Shi Yuqi at the Barclaycard Arena.

The Malaysian No 1 previously won the All England in 2010, 2011 and 2014.

Chong Wei, a three-time Olympic silver medallist, produced a super comeback to make the trip to Birmingham after injuring his knee last month.

Earlier indication had suggested the shuttler would be ruled out for up to six weeks, but he defied the odds to bag the oldest badminton trophy with just a week of full training sessions prior to the competition.
