PUTRAJAYA: A Nepalese worker was killed and his Bangladeshi colleague injured when a temporary gondola they were on collapsed at a construction site in Presint 7 here, this morning.
The 8.50am accident occurred at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) building’s construction site, next to the Putrajaya Police Headquarters.
The Nepalese worker died at the scene.
Putrajaya District Police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan said the Bangladeshi worker was sent to the Putrajaya Hospital for treatment.
“The forensic team has been called in to facilitate investigation at the site,” he said in a WhatsApp message.
It is unclear, however, which level of the building the gondola was suspended at when it collapsed.
