Selangor state assembly remembers Kamarol Zaki with minute of silence

SHAH ALAM: A minute of silence was observed at the Selangor state legislative assembly today in memory of Kamarol Zaki Abdul Malik, the one-term Sungai Air Tawar assemblyman who died in January this year.

On behalf of the Selangor state government, state assemblymen and executive councillors, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (PKR-Bukit Antarabangsa) expressed heartfelt condolences to the widow of Kamarol Zaki and his family.

Azmin said Kamarol Zaki had contributed greatly to the Selangor state government through his opinions and gave his cooperation despite being a Barisan Nasional representative.

"The late Kamarol Zaki, who was also known as 'Cikgu Zaki', gave his constructive views in the state assembly sittings. During several of my work visits to the Sungai Air Tawar constituency, he had also joined me to meet the rakyat. His passing is a big loss and his presence will be missed by his family and other state assemblymen," said Azmin.

Azmin also spent about 20 minutes with the late Kamarol Zaki's family who were also present at the annexe building.

Azmin also conveyed condolences to the families of two former BN Selangor state assemblymen, Datuk Saidin Tamby and Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Ahmad Dahlan, who had passed away on Feb 25 and Feb 21 respectively.
