Air Liquide, InvestKL sign MoU for talent pipeline creation

KUALA LUMPUR: Air Liquide and InvestKL have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a general framework to cooperate in the creation of a talent pipeline, and technical and technological collaborations with start-up companies in Malaysia.

In a media statement, Air Liquide said that the MoU with InvestKL will see it integrated deeper into the local academic ecosystem to create a talent pipeline supporting the expected expansion of Air Liquide Business Services.

“The MoU will also create opportunities for positive synergies with other French and Malaysian start-ups or small-medium enterprises,” the company said in its note to the media today.

“Air Liquide demonstrates its confidence in the infrastructure of Malaysia to support our business needs.

“InvestKL will be an invaluable partner on this journey, and we look forward to pursuing new ways of strengthening these links and cementing a valuable long-term relationship,” said Air Liquide Southeast Asia and Pacific vice president Ng Boon Hai.

In response, InvestKL chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Amanshah said that the setting up of Air Liquide latest operation in Greater Kuala Lumpur, to provide high-value technology-led activities for the region, demonstrates its confidence in the city’s proposition and track record of hosting regional operations.

“This exciting initiative will enhance Air Liquide’s competitiveness in the region. It will have a positive multiplier impact on the domestic economy through the creation of highly skilled jobs and potential collaboration with local Universities,” Zainal said.
