Actor Sharnaaz weds Noor Nabila

ACTOR Sharnaaz Basir Ahmad and entrepreneur Noor Nabila Mohd Noor became husband and wife tonight.

The couple’s marriage solemnisation ceremony was witnessed by 250 family members and close friends at the Royal Ballroom, Royal Chulan Damansara Hotel in Petaling Jaya.

Without fumbling, Sharnaaz recited the marriage pledge only once, and it was solemnised by the imam of Damansara Perdana Mosque, Syamsul Firdaus Mohd Supri Al-Hafiz.

The groom presented a dowry of RM1,000 to the blushing bride.

The newlyweds, both aged 32, were in clad in all-white ensembles. Sharnaaz wore a traditional get-up designed by Cosry, while Noor Nabila looked resplendent in a creation by popular designer Datuk Radzuan Radziwill.

Also present were the bride’s younger sister, popular actress and TV host, Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, and fellow artistes Marsha Milan Londoh and Farah Anuar.

The bride’s wedding reception will take place at the same venue on Sunday, while the Straits Quay Convention Centre in Penang has been chosen as the venue for the ceremony for the groom’s side, to be held on April 8.

The couple will then leave for Italy on April 14 for their honeymoon.

“We’ll be spending three and a half weeks there, a location chosen solely by her,” said Sharnaaz as he smiled at his wife beside him.

To his beaming bride, he had this to say: “Thank you for being my wife. I promise to take care of you for eternity.”

And to that Nabila replied: “I may not be a romantic person, but I’ll cook for you, I’ll wash your clothes, and I love you.”
