Disabled man beaten to death by men at Rawang temple

KUALA LUMPUR: A disabled man was allegedly bludgeoned to death by a group of men near a temple at Bandar Baru Kundang, Rawang, yesterday.

The bloodied body of the 39-year-old victim was found by temple-goers in the rear of the premises at about 2pm, and police were immediately alerted.

Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Ali Ahmad said the victim is believed to have been beaten using bamboo sticks and pots.

"He sustained injuries on his right hand, feet and face," he said.

It is learnt that four men in their 20s were arrested to facilitate investigation, and the motive for the killing is being ascertained.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
