Senior Yapeim director remanded over CBT probe

PUTRAJAYA: A senior director of the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (Yapeim) has been remanded for five days to assist investigation into a criminal breach of trust (CBT) case.

The remand order issued by magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman takes effect today.

The 47-year-old was arrested at the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) office here yesterday after having his statement recorded by the commission.

He is being investigated under Section 409 of the Penal Code for CBT.
