KUALA LUMPUR: Four secondary school students were among 22 people nabbed during a bust at a drug party in a luxury apartment in the city centre on Wednesday.
Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Sukri Kaman said following a tip-off, a team from the district narcotics department was deployed to the scene at about 9am.
“The raiding team nabbed 22 people comprising of 16 men and six women aged between 13 and 30.
“Police also seized 26 Erimin 5 and 14 Ecstasy pills from the premise,” he said in a statement.
Nine of those arrested were underage, including college students and secondary school students.
Sukri said all detained tested positive for drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug abuse.
Three of the men detained had been charged under Section 12 (2) 1952 for possession of drugs.
Sukri said police are constantly monitoring private parties being held illegally and actions would be taken to people who carried out such offences.
