Jobless man claims trial to possessing IS-related items

KUALA LUMPUR: A jobless man today claimed trial in the High Court to having in his possession terror related items - an Islamic State (IS) flag sticker, two books and 10 related images on his mobile phone.

Mohamad Saufi Ibrahim, 22, was accused of committing the offence at No 600 A-1-14, Tanjung Bungah Apartment in Penang, at 3.15pm on July 15, 2016.

Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Fadzlan Mohd Noor told the court that the prosecution would be calling 10 witness during the trial, which Judge Datuk Indera Mohd Sofian Tan Sri Abd Razak fixed for three days beginning Sept 25.

Mohd Sofian also fixed the matter for case management on Aug 28.

The accused was represented by Muhamad Imran Mohamad Farouk.
