Warisan VP Peter Anthony arrives at MACC's Sabah office

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) vice president Datuk Peter Anthony arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah office here this morning, as he had been once again summoned to give a statement.

Peter arrived at the MACC office in the state federal administration complex at 9.27am accompanied by the party’s counsel, Martin Tommy.

Warisan representatives declined to comment on whether the meeting pertains to a new case, or is a follow-up to the previous probe.

"We cannot say for now. We have to wait until the lawyer (Martin Tommy) comes out," said party secretary-general Loretto Padua Jr when met outside the office.

Peter was among 13 people remanded last month as part of the MACC's probe on the mishandling of federal funds for rural development projects in Sabah.

Yesterday, party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal was also called in by the MACC to give a statement, but the meeting related to a different investigation.
