KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down a man dressed up as suicide bomber when attending a Halloween celebration at Armanee Terrace in Damansara Perdana recently.
The man had attended the event on Oct 28 at about 7.40pm, wearing a robe and chequered head-scarf with “explosives” made out of cardboards and empty mineral water bottles wrapped around his waist.
He is believed to be a resident of the apartment.
Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said the attire, resembling a suicide bomber, is seen as sensitive, especially since it could be linked to Islamic State.
“The police are still looking for the man. Anyone with information on the man should call 03-79662222,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Code for criminal intimidation.
