Two friends sent to gallows for grisly Perlis murder

KANGAR: The High Court here sent two close friends to the gallows for murdering a man two years ago.

Judge Abu Bakar Katar meted out the sentence on Mohamad Jazree Jaafar, 25 and Mohd Naim Man, 28, after the defence failed to raise reasonable doubt against the prosecution's case.

Both the accused betrayed no emotion in the dock when the verdict was delivered.

The odd-job workers who hail from Kuala Sanglang here were found guilty of jointly murdering A. Bincharong, 23, at Kampung Tanah Baru, Kuala Perlis between 8pm on Sept 10, 2015 and 9am on Sept 11, 2015.

The prosecution was led by deputy public prosecutor Badius Zaman Ahmad; while Jazree and Naim were represented by counsels Zamri Ibrahim and Zuhair Ahmad Zakuan respectively.

It was reported that the victim's body was found with both hands tied with fishing net wire, floating in the Kampung Tanah Baru river on Sept 12, 2015.
