Indonesian woman found stabbed to death outside her apartment unit

KUALA LUMPUR: An Indonesian woman was found stabbed to death at the 18th floor of a flat in Bandar Tasik Selatan last night.

The 31-year-old victim, identified only as Misyatun, was found with stab wounds in her stomach near a lift located on the 18th floor of the flat at 10.40pm.

Misyatun's 18-year-old brother, Junaidi, was also injured in the incident. He sustained injuries to his left chest and abdomin.

Cheras police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Ghani Mohd Ji said police had detained the husband and brother-in-law of the deceased, who were at the scene, to facilitate investigations.

"Victim's neighbour heard someone shouting for help. He found Junaidi lying in a pool of blood near victim’s unit door and Misyatun beside the stairs near the lift.

“He then called the ambulance. Junaidi was sent to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre for treatment,” he said, adding that investigation was on-going.
