Stabbed, run down twice: Murder at JB petrol station captured on video

JOHOR BARU: A man died after being stabbed and run over by a car at a petrol station in Taman Pelangi tonight.

The whole gory incident was captured on video thanks to a bystander.

The video clip has since gone viral on WhatsApp and social media.

The man, in his 30s, was with a female companion shortly before the incident occurred at 7.30pm.

He was filling up his car tyres when he was accosted by four men in a white BMW.

The clip showed the men trying to pull the man into their car but after he put up a struggle, managed to free himself.

However, it is learnt that in his struggle, he was stabbed several times.

With the man on the ground, his assailants got into their car, circled the petrol station and knocked down the man. After hitting him, the BMW slammed into reverse and appeared to crush the man.

The BMW then sped out of the station, stopping briefly for one of the assailants to enter the car before fleeing.

Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said the man died at the scene.

Checks later showed that he had stab wounds on the right side of his chest.

Khalil said the victim's female companion, a foreigner in her 20s, ran away to get help during the attack. She was unhurt.

Police have yet to disclose the identity of the deceased.

Khalil said that a description of the suspects' car, a white BMW with the registration plate WB79L, was posted on Johor police's Facebook page.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
