(Update) Woman murdered, naked body dumped under Klang bridge

KLANG: The body of a 37-year-old woman believed to have been killed elsewhere was found under an overhead bridge in Jalan Raja Nong, here today.

Klang Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said the body of the victim, a single mother of two, was found under the bridge, opposite SK Kampung Jawa 2, Klang, on Monday morning.

The shocking discovery was made by a member of the public who immediately called the 999 Emergency Response Services (MERS999) at 7.41am.

“Her shorts and underwear had been moved down to the ankle of her left leg.

“There were bruises on her right eye and a bump on her forehead.

“It is believed that the woman was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped here,” he said.

Shamsul said the finger print from the victim and a previous arrest record for drug abuse showed that she was a Malaysian.

He adds that victim also has two daughters, who are living with her younger sister in Shah Alam.

The younger sister had lodged a police report on March 10, as the victim had been missing since 2015.

Shamsul said the victim’s body had been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) for a post-mortem examination.

A 54-year-old man has since been arrested to facilitate investigations into the case.

Those with information are urged to contact the police.
