Case of dental technician found dead in Lukut home now classified as murder

PORT DICKSON: Police have classified the case of a 28-year-old dental technician, who was found dead in his house at the Lukut health clinic quarters here Monday morning, as murder.

A post-mortem conducted on the victim, Mahusin Abd Rahim, at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital revealed that the victim died due to severe injuries on his head believed to be caused by hard object.

Port Dickson District Police Chief, Superintendent Zainudin Ahmad said, police didn't rule out the possibility that the victim knew the suspect.

"The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder," he said.

Mahusin's body was found on a mattress in his home at 8.30am by a friend, who had dropped by to check on him after he failed to show up at work since Friday.

It is believed that the victim had been dead for more than 72 hours.
