Five men arrested for brutally attacking a man with a steering lock and stick

ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 20-year-old man sustained head injuries when he was brutally attacked by five men.

One of the assailants was armed with a steering lock and a stick.

The 4.10am incident, which took place at a nightclub in Taman Bukit Indah, was believed to have due to a misunderstanding.

Iskandar Puteri district police chief assistant commissioner Noor Hashim Mohamad said the victim, whose identity was not disclosed, was rushed to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for head wounds.

Hashim said the attack was believed to have started when one of the five men had confronted the victim for almost crashing into him when the victim was reversing his car out of the nightclub’s parking area

“The five suspects, aged between 19 and 32, were arrested by a police mobile patrol unit which was making its rounds in the area,” he said.
