SEGAMAT: The frequent absence of a 14-year old disabled student from school has led to the exposure of the nightmare the teenager had to suffer in the hands of her own father.
For the past two years, the 14-year old girl has been raped by her own father, a 50-year-old man, in their home in Batu Anam.
Segamat district police chief superintendant Raub Selamat said the rape was discovered by the victim’s 19-year-old sister who had went to check on the victim one day and caught her father performing the despicable act.
“The sister made the shocking discovery on March 20 as she was contacted by the school administration that the teenager had not been attending school,” Raub said.
He added that on the same day, the elder sister went home early and caught her father raping her younger sister in the bedroom.
“The elder sister with the help of a relative had then come to the police station to lodge a report. The father was arrested the same day,” he said.
Raub said medical checks on the victim showed that there was a tear on the victim’s private parts.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code for committing incest.
