AYER KEROH: A car rental operator was charged at the Magistrate's Court here today with murdering a female customer last month.
The charge against the accused, 48-year-old Shamsuri Mohamad, was read out before Magistrate Lim Kim Keat.
However, no plea was recorded from the accused.
According to the charge sheet, the accused is charged with murdering a 40-year-old woman, known only as Yuliana, by running her down with a Perodua Myvi.
The accused was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code. If convicted, he faces the possibility of death by hanging.
