KUALA LUMPUR: Former Solicitor-General II of Malaysia Datuk Mohd Yusof Zainal Abidin made an appearance at the corruption trial of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today.
Mohd Yusof is joining hands with lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah as part of Najib's defence team.
According to the list of defence lawyers, Mohd Yusof is third on the list after Muhammad Shafee and Harvinderjit Singh.
Mohd Yusof previously led the prosecution team in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy 2 trial.
He subsequently resigned after the sodomy case.
Najib faces seven charges relating to criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering involving RM42 million of SRC International Sdn Bhd’s funds.
The trial at the High Court is presided by judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali.
